Carlisle & District Speakers Club update 5/10/17
We are looking forward to our meeting this evening at Morton Manor at 7.30pm.
As part of the evening we have 3 speeches tonight. The first will be a 'Making a start' speech for a new member of our club where the idea is to stand up in a safe environment and well, make a start at mastering speaking in public. The second is looking at ways of using your voice to get the message across effectively and the third is looking at using gestures and body language.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at Morton Manor in Carlisle at 7.30pm. If you are interested in finding out more about our club please send an email through to us.

Contest Evening-"Call my Bluff"
Well what an evening we had at our meeting this month! We warmly welcomed some of our fellow speakers from clubs in Cockermouth and Workington, and it was certainly fun! We had 4 teams and the aim was to find out who was 'calling their bluff'. It was a tight contest but in the end it was Abi Lindsay's Team from Carlisle that won. A big well done and thanks to all who came and participated-which is what it is all about.

Carlisle Speakers Club update 01/02/2017
We have been getting a lot of enquiries recently regarding our club. People are asking if we can help with things like 'father of the bride' speeches, work presentations and improving confidence, which of course we can!
Come along to one of our meetings to see how you can improve your public speaking skills. Whether you feel you don't have enough confidence to stand up in front of people, or are looking at ways of improving how you come across, our club is here to help. Everyone is welcome.
We meet on the 1st Thursday of each month and our Next meeting is 01 February 2017, 7.30pm at Morton Manor and the theme for the evening is 'fun & laughter'.
