Carlisle Speakers Club update 09/10/2015
Come along to one of our meetings to see how you can improve your public speaking skills. Whether you feel you don't have enough confidence to stand up in front of people, or are looking at ways of improving how you come across, our club is here to help. Everyone is welcome.
Our next meeting will be Thursday 15th October 2015 at Morton Manor. The start time will be 7.30pm, which is a change from the usual start time of 7.15pm
The theme for this meeting will be Money Talks.
For the rest of this year the dates for our meetings and themes are:-
5th November- Food Glorious Food
19th November - Changing Times
3rd December- Courage
17th December- Charity Begins at home.
At our last meeting the theme was Hobbies. At this meeting Kaz Ruddick spoke to assignment A2 which focused on speech construction, and Bruce Pilling spoke to Assignment A10 which is the show piece. This, along with an excellent topics session, which is focused around helping increase skills around thinking on your feet, which was arranged by Iain Dickie made for an enjoyable evening.
